This is not a secret spot. I used to surf and windsurf here in the later 80's. There were some windsurf regattas held in the bay by the defunct resort, Medanos del Caribe with sponsorship by Ahmoody and Adicora Sport. The boyz from Aruba would always show up and do well.

General
Mostly windswell over rock shelf. Lots of sharks. 3 attacks in 3 years. All on windsurfers simply 'cause very few surfed here. Big current offshore. Not a good place to lose it. Next stop Aruba. You can see it on a clear day.
I was able to surf here a couple of years ago - 2004. Still classic. Still un-crowded. Still relatively un-discovered. Still very, very heavy. This time is saw plenty of fins, got dragged on the bottom and ended up with 18 sutures, 6 internal, on my foot. Still, a great session.
