From Valencia: Take the highway to Puerto Cabello (~ 45 Km). Once you get to puerto Cabello, stay in the highway and follow the signs ( Ganango - Patanemo). It takes about 20 minutes (15 Km) from Puerto cabello to Patanemo. The beach has a couple of point breaks, to get to the coral-reef point you have to walk all the way to the West of the bay. The point right in the beack is not too good, it is a sandy bottom but the waves break in one bar, and you usually have to deal with a bunch of swimers. If you are planing to go there, try to avoid doing it during the week, because is to lonely and you take the risk of being robbed. If you have a 4x4 car you can drive all the way to the spot; if not, make sure you park it close to the "kioskos", close all the windows and activate all the alarms

Epic Surf - When conditions are right, this could be the best wave that you've ever ride!!. I Used to catch the waves close to the mountain, they're the best even though you have that reef barrief in the front (That barrier wasn't there before 96). Be there VERY early in the mourning, glass conditions last until 10:00 am (Good days until 12:00pm) but not later. I hope you'll catch good waves there and keep it clean!!
