ali is perhaps the best known island in Indonesia, being a 'dream' destination with names such Padang Padang and Uluwatu with its famous entry cave. Bali gets the full force of southern ocean swells direct from the antarctic with its south-west and south-east coasts being littered with surf spots. The dry winter months (June-Sept) are preferred for surf conditions however this means that these are also the most crowded times. Given a bit of local knowledge it is still possible to find uncrowded perfect breaks on Bali. You'll not find them on this site - go look!

surfguide in bali - hey. just back from bali. a friend hooked me up with a really good guide. we scored some good uncrowded waves :) yes,still possible. and that guy was much cheaper than the other offers we found. his adress is surfin.bali@yahoo.com. he can pick u up,show u the nightlife,tempels....and some good waves,hehe

Hy Alex - Hy, ich bin vom 21.07-14.09 in indonesien und lande auf Bali. Würde gern surfen lernen, da ja im sommer kein schnee zum snowboarden liegt, vielleicht kennst du paar erste anlaufstellen oder hast Lust paar wochen zusammen herum zu traveln und paar spots mitnehmen, bin offen für alles.
