Atmosphere
A nice spot. Deep clear water with a sandy bottom. Always 1-2 foot bigger than the main beach. Gets perfect A frames on a good day. Now becoming very crowded when conditions are right.

pardon - you must be talking about north matakana, completely didnt wave, cranks, ye old banks at the good old spot still work but why travel there when the mt has better waves

heavy - Matakana has some heavy locals. Id only visit this break if you know someone that surfs there regularly. Beatings are common place.
