The first hotel on the left is Edgars.....The safest place to camp or get a room. Edgar also does killer board repair.
Atmosphere
Oringaly really cool vibe at Pascuales but now the region seems to be quite dangerous.
There's a couple local body boarders they have chips on there shoulders, but like anywhere in the world you travel, if you show respect, you'll get respect.
General
Pascuales is one of the most consistent spots around. Always seems to be at least sholder high, but can get really huge on south swells.... Pro's only when it get's big.

Pascuales is a challenge - I've been going to Pascuales since 1993 everytime I visit my parents nearby. It was when I started surfing again after a three year break and this powerful mystical wave made me feel like a beginner again. It's a challenging wave once you control your fear when it's overhead. It still kicks my ass, and that's after I've surfed Hawaii, it's like the NorthShore, tougher than some spots there. My friends Edgar and his family are always nice to my brother and I. I'm a classic surfer since 1979 and this wave still makes me feel like a beginner sometimes. But I love it even when it gives me the butterflies in the stomach feeling. And I always go back for more. Always will until I die.

Drug Cartels - This is a question: Is it dangerous down there these days? I've heard of some sketchy things going down at La Ticla, how is it at Pascuales?
