Small to no crowds the rest of the year.

When Park is closed beach is accessible in Inverhuron
Rock shelf on south and north side of bay. Also small reef in middle. Do a couple of passes to scout before goign crazy on the waves.
Bay has larger waves on North side next to Gunn Point. Bring your surfboard.
Works best on any wind with a West in it.

chill waves - I surfed here this summer, it was flat most days (reef 2km out) but when the offshore winds are up some swell makes it into the bay. The south end of the beach beside the rock point is better since the winds are mostly westerly here. I wouldn't risk surfing the point as shown on the map as its quite rocky (maybe thats just me palyin' it safe), which is actually Douglas Point, not Macgregor Point. Nice beach but crowded with swimmers in the summer esp. on weekends. The cottagers were quite interested to see a surfer there and were pretty cool. Enjoy the lack of sharks, saltwater, and jellyfish!
